Pushcart Nomination for former Pinch editor

Heather Truett, who is currently serving as the Assistant Fiction Editor of the Southeast Review received a Pushcart Prize nomination from Whale Road Review for her poem “I wish Aristotle had been right about birds.”

Truett is pursuing her PhD in creative writing at Florida State University. She graduated from the MFA program at the University of Memphis in the spring of 2023 and served as the editor of the Pinch for issue 43.1, which featured a special section of neurodivergent writers.
